moments 🤍

notes from here…

We planted our first seedlings.
They are already pushing through the soil.

Hopeful signs.

Maybe this year
the land will give something back

A new shadow appeared.
Quiet paws in the grass.

We named him Ignacius.
Iggy.

A quiet relief.
Koblih is well again.

Some stories stay.
Some move on.

Ypsilon has found
a new home.

First coffee outside.
The season is turning.

Tulips are pushing through the cold soil.
The ground is no longer asleep.

The snow is melting.
Rain has taken over the day.

Yesterday, for a brief moment,
after almost two weeks,
the sun appeared.

It didn’t stay long.
But it was enough to remind us
that light still knows the way back.

Today everything feels softer.
Wetter.
Quieter.

The land is changing again.

The house was quiet.
Snow outside the windows.

Koblih wasn’t supposed to be in the bed.
But somehow, tonight, it felt right.

Just life. From here.

One windy night.
No electricity.
Just us and the fireplace.

Freezing.
Snow.

The stove on.
Nowhere to go.

Cats everywhere.
Quiet, finally

The leaves are almost gone.
The house feels heavier.

We prepare for winter.
Wood. Covers. Small routines.

It should feel comforting.
But it doesn’t. Not yet.

Pallet woodshed.
Green roof.
Firewood inside.
Cats inside.
Rain sometimes inside too.

Built by us.
Still learning.

Summer is almost gone.
The tomatoes are still green.
Not everything ripens on time.
And maybe that’s okay.

Roses from my grandparents’ garden.
Passed on by my uncle.

This summer, they opened.

Some things travel quietly through generations.
And bloom again.

Night sky.
The Milky Way above us.

We stood still.
And watched.
