Every summer there comes a moment when the garden quietly takes over.
One zucchini becomes five. Then ten.
You start giving them to neighbours, searching for new recipes, and wondering what else you can make before the next harvest.
This pizza has quietly become one of our favourites.
Fresh zucchini ribbons, rosemary from the garden, a little mozzarella cheese, and a simple sourdough dough that somehow tastes even better because of the story behind it.
The sourdough starter came from friends we met while building our container home years ago. What started as conversations about containers slowly became a friendship that has lasted ever since.
So every time we bake with it, it reminds us that some of the best things take time.
No complicated recipe.
Just whatever the garden gives you that day.

What we used
- sourdough pastry
- 2–3 small zucchini
- mozzarella cheese
- rosemary
- olive oil
- salt & pepper (optional)
Around here, the crust is never just a crust. We fold a little extra cheese into the edges, and somehow that has become our favourite bite.
Some recipes begin in the garden.
Others begin years earlier, with people you happened to meet.
This one began with both. ❤️
