Les Bains de Marrakech: Two Hours Away from the Noise

Our experience of a traditional Moroccan hammam, massage, and a few peaceful hours away from the busy streets of Marrakech.

Marrakech is a city of contrasts. Busy streets, constant movement, noise, and energy. But sometimes, just behind an ordinary entrance, you find something entirely different.

In this Les Bains de Marrakech review, we’re sharing our personal experience of a traditional Moroccan hammam, massage, and a few peaceful hours away from the city’s busy streets.

From the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere changed. The noise of the street gave way to a quiet, carefully designed space that felt almost disconnected from the city outside.

A Different Side of Marrakech

The interiors are tastefully decorated, with warm lighting, traditional Moroccan patterns, beautiful materials, and attention to small details. Nothing feels excessive, yet everything seems carefully considered.

Even the way you move through the spa is thoughtfully planned. The route towards the swimming pool is different from the one you take after your treatments.

One of the things we appreciated most was the peaceful atmosphere.

Mobile phones and photography are not permitted in the treatment areas, and guests are asked to keep conversations quiet.

It may seem like a small detail, but it makes a noticeable difference.

We managed to take a few photographs of the entrance and reception areas, where the beautiful decorative details immediately caught our attention. Beyond that, the experience is something you have to discover for yourself.

Traditional Hammam and Massage

We booked a two-hour package combining a traditional Moroccan hammam followed by a massage, priced at €98 per person.

There is some flexibility upon arrival, with the possibility of adjusting your treatments according to your preferences.

Guests can also arrive an hour before their appointment to enjoy the swimming pool, which is a welcome addition if you want to spend a little more time relaxing.

Bathrobes and slippers are provided, and everything is well organised from the beginning.

The traditional hammam was followed by a massage, which we both thoroughly enjoyed. The therapists were professional, attentive, and clearly experienced.

Nothing felt rushed, and the peaceful surroundings made the experience even more enjoyable.

Afterwards, we were offered tea and a small refreshment before leaving.

The Little Details

Sometimes, it is the practical details that shape the overall impression.

Reservations can be made through an online booking system, and communication is also possible via WhatsApp.

Card payments are accepted, and there is an opportunity to purchase spa products after the treatments.

The staff were well-trained, and everything ran smoothly during our visit.

What stayed with us was how naturally everything worked together — the surroundings, the treatments, the service, and the quiet atmosphere.

One Mistake We Made

We enjoyed our visit so much that we wanted to return once more before flying home.

Unfortunately, we made the mistake of assuming we could book another appointment at short notice.

When we tried to make a reservation about two days in advance, they were already fully booked.

So, if you are planning a visit, we would recommend booking well ahead, especially if you have a particular day or time in mind.

Was It Worth €98?

For us, yes.

At €98 per person, this is certainly not a budget experience. But considering the two hours of treatments, the opportunity to enjoy the pool beforehand, the surroundings, and the professional service, we felt the price was reasonable.

We arrived expecting a relaxing break and left genuinely impressed.

Would we return? We actually tried to.

Of course, everyone has different expectations when it comes to wellness experiences. For us, Les Bains de Marrakech was a welcome contrast to the busy streets outside.

Sometimes, a few hours without a phone, a schedule, or unnecessary distractions are exactly what you need.
